MUMMY MOT

Physiotherapy for pelvic floor injuries.

Womens Health Physiotherapy or else called Mummy MOT.
This specialization is not yet very widespread in Greece but it is a very important part for the quality of life in women.

Observe young girls or your mother what they do when they sneeze. Many times there is weakness and leaking when jumping or when lifting heavy objects.

It is still a very big TABOO in Greece, unfortunately! Many women are ashamed or do not know that someone can help them!

Urinary incontinence and bladder weakness have been observed in approximately 400 million people worldwide.

If more people start talking about it then more and more people who experience it every day will be informed and will fight their problem.

This problem has a great impact on psychology, sexuality, behavior, social and wider life and even the habits that we normally had!

This problem affects not only older women but also younger women.

1. During pregnancy or after childbirth
2. In the years of weightlifting
3. In estrogen deficiency or menopause
4. In obesity
5. In connective tissue syndromes, instability or looseness of ligaments

During physiotherapy an evaluation is made where we focus on finding the problem and then organize a treatment plan. Always in consultation with the gynecologist / urologist we confirm if there is any other pathology first we proceed with the treatment.
I would like to point out that kegel exercises are not the only thing we can do. Many times it can be a contraindication if there is increased tonicity whenever we have to proceed with a different Therapy or a different exercise book.
